AMP Engineering were engaged by DSD Group to undertake the construction of a roundabout
on Andrews Road. These works were required as a condition of construction consent and
were a priority to ensure safe ingress & egress to site as well as ensuring the project timeline
was met. Project staging was critical to ensure community satisfaction and traffic safety. This
project which was originally tendered to be a 12 week duration was fast tracked to 7 weeks
which allowed a reduction in community complaints to the council as well as reduced
exposure on the live road to traffic incidents.
These works were only possible by having a team that understood the objective and were
committed to meeting daily targets. Although weather and other constraints played a part on
project programme our team were willing to work additional overtime and weekends to re-
align the program.
