Increasing local development within the Lithgow area has driven demand for local parks for recreation and sport. Lithgow Council completed the upgrade of the grandstand at Kremer Park earlier in 2024, and wanted to refresh the existing retaining wall, which was originally built in the 1950s.

The scope of works was prepared to deliver a result for council that upgraded the existing crib wall, which was showing signs of erosion, improved viewing safety with a new handrail above the new wall, and increased the appeal of the park for the local community.

The retaining wall panels were procured from a local supplier, which supported local business and reduced the amount of cartage required. The panels arrived on eight semi-trailers, so reducing the haulage distance allowed AMP Engineering to meet its environmental sustainability targets by cutting the project's carbon footprint.
