AMP Engineering was engaged by Bathla Group to deliver road pavement rectification, driveway reconstruction, drainage improvements, guardrail installation, signage and linemarking associated with the development at 141 Darkes Road. The works extend along West Dapto Road and the nominated development intersections and frontages.
• Pavement rectification: sawcutting, milling and resurfacing of existing road pavement with a 25 mm asphalt layer, regraded to the design contours and tied into the surrounding pavement
• Driveway reconstruction: removal and reinstatement of the affected concrete driveway to match the revised road profile, using a 150 mm thick, 25 MPa concrete slab with SL82 reinforcement, including smooth transitions between concrete and asphalt
• Drainage improvements: installation of a grated drain at the driveway low point and subsoil drainage, connected to the existing drainage system
• Guardrail works: installation of W-beam safety barriers, posts, end terminals and enhanced delineation
• Barrier positioning: set-out to the nominated alignments, maintaining the required clearance to streetlight poles and accommodating driveway access and Council garbage collection areas
• Signage: installation of the nominated traffic signs, including give-way signage, posts and foundations
• Linemarking: removal of redundant markings and installation of the nominated centre lines, edge lines, intersection markings, directional arrows and raised reflective pavement markers
• Reinstatement: making good disturbed pavement and adjoining surfaces, undertaken to the project drawings and Wollongong City Council civil works specifications
