AMP Engineering delivered the stormwater drainage infrastructure servicing the development at 742 Pennant Hills Road, Carlingford. The works involved constructing a new drainage connection through the adjoining pedestrian laneway and along Lochinvar Parade to the existing council stormwater network.
The scope of works included:
• Installation of a 375 mm diameter reinforced concrete stormwater pipeline
• Construction of four junction pits and a new kerb inlet pit with a 1.8 m inlet and bicycle-safe grate
• Connection to the existing council kerb inlet pit and drainage network
• Excavation, pipe bedding, jointing and backfilling in accordance with the approved drainage details
• Coordination of drainage installation around existing water, telecommunications and electrical services
• Compaction of trench backfill and associated testing
• Reconstruction of kerb and gutter along the affected pipeline alignment
• Restoration of the concrete pedestrian pathway and other disturbed surfaces
• Associated council inspections, CCTV inspection of the completed pipeline and works-as-executed documentation
The works required coordination of excavation, drainage construction and reinstatement within a constrained public access corridor containing existing services. The completed drainage connection provided an outlet for the development's stormwater system to the council network.
