AMP Engineering delivered the external roadworks and civil infrastructure package supporting the commercial developments at 144–148 Pacific Highway, Tuggerah. The works were undertaken within the Pacific Highway road corridor and required detailed coordination with Transport for NSW, the developer, design consultants, utility authorities and neighbouring businesses.

AMP’s scope of works included:
• Project management, construction planning and coordination of the external civil works.
• Traffic management and staged construction within the live Pacific Highway corridor.
• Demolition of existing driveways, vehicle crossings, kerb, gutter, footpath and redundant pavement.
• Construction of new commercial vehicle crossings and reinforced concrete pavement.
• Construction of a new deceleration lane and associated pavement widening.
• Construction of new kerb, gutter, kerb transitions and raised concrete medians.
• Modification and extension of the existing pedestrian refuge island.
• Construction and reinstatement of concrete footpaths and pedestrian connections.
• Installation and connection of new reinforced concrete stormwater pipes and drainage infrastructure.
• Adjustment, relocation and protection of existing utilities, pits, hydrants and service infrastructure.
• Relocation and installation of bus zone, regulatory and pedestrian signage.
• Bicycle-lane modifications, green pavement treatment, line marking and reflective pavement markers.
• Flexible and rigid pavement construction, asphalt surfacing and tie-ins to the existing highway.
• Sediment and erosion control, quality assurance, testing and environmental management.
• Final inspections, as-built documentation and handover of the completed works.

AMP successfully coordinated the complex interface between the new commercial development and the existing State road network. The project demonstrates AMP’s capability to safely deliver TfNSW-compliant road upgrades within busy operational corridors while maintaining access, managing stakeholders and achieving the required quality, program and handover outcomes.
